The Wave

  • Visting the wave requires getting a permit
  • 64 people are selected per day for this incredibly hard to get permit 
  • You can apply in advance up to 4 months before your intended date
  • 16 day of lottery permits are given. This lottery now uses geofencing so you must be in the area. If you win the permit is for 2 days later but you’ll have a next day orientation

The Great Chamber

  • You can visit on or join a tour
  • Bring a wide lens if possible to capture the full breadth of the great chamber

White Pocket

  • This is seen as an alternative to The Wave for a lot of people and there are those who prefer White Pocket over The Wave 
  • Visit on your own with a 4WD high clearance vehicle or visit with a tour guide

Coral Pink Sand Dunes

  • You can explore the dunes by hiking, sandboarding or riding ATVs/OHVs

  • Thee dunes did not look very pink to us so going around sunset helps

Belly Of The Dragon

  • This a fun short hike. The tunnel can be see from the parking lot 
  • Not reccommended to hike when raining as this is used as a drainage for the upper canyons
