Our 2-Night Algarve Itinerary
ALGARVE ITINERARY
The Algarve region is located in the south of Portugal. The most common way to get to Algarve is by car. You can either fly to the nearest airport and then rent a car (45 minutes) or drive to the Algarve coast from Lisbon, Portugal (2.5 hours) or from Seville, Spain (2 hours). The main airport is in Faro with another small airport in Portimão. The Portimão airport receives fewer flights though.
We landed in Faro, rented a car, and then drove 30-45 min to the Algarve coast.
PROTIP: Most rental cars are manual. There are automatic cars for rent but we noticed that there were fewer of those on the lot and were priced higher.
Where We Stayed
- Tivoli Carvoeiro Algarve Resort [$284.77/night]
We spent both nights at Tivoli Carvoeiro Algarve Resort. We paid $284.77/night with taxes included for a family deluxe room type. This spectacular 5-star, fully remodeled luxury resort on the Algarve Coast overlooks the Vale cliffside. There are picturesque views throughout the property and the hotel is located 5-15 minutes from the most beautiful beaches on the coast such as Carvoeiro, Marinha, and Beagil Beach.
PRO TIP: If hotel room types are important to you, try and book in advance to secure the highly requested Junior Suite Premium Room with Sea View. This is the only room type with a private jacuzzi on the balcony.
Where We Ate
We ate primarily at the hotel as they have multiple restaurants with different cuisines on site. For the times we dined out we visited the town center just a 5 min drive away from the hotel. The area is lined with restaurants and shops on Estr. do Farol Street.

Photoshoots
We worked with Tanasuk to book a one-hour (1hr) photoshoot at Marinha Beach. He knew all the best photo spots and the drone photos and videos he included in our package came out stunningly beautiful. We paid 250€ for the photoshoot and it included 2.5 hours of shooting in one location and over 70 edited images and videos.
To work with Tanasuk simply message him on Instagram to get started. Note: Drone photos and video have an additional cost.
Makeup Artist
I worked with Claudia Barros on my makeup for the photoshoot. We connected on Instagram and scheduled a 5:30 am makeup session in our hotel room. Claudia charged 80€ and that included the out-of-normal hours charge and transportation. To work with her you can send her a DM on Instagram.
Sightseeing
