Our 3-Night Cappadocia Itinerary

Our 3-night Cappadocia itinerary, complete with prices, activities, and more.

Day 1

Check out our guide for getting to Cappadocia. We arrived in Cappadocia by flying into Kayseri airport from Istanbul via Turkish Airlines. Our round-trip flight tickets were priced at approximately $50 per person. We have to note how important it is to check the weather and be flexible with your Cappadocia itinerary if the hot air balloons are important to you. The hot air balloons won’t take off in bad weather so it’s recommended to build in extra days into your trip or be flexible on when you visit.

We were supposed to arrive on Sunday from Dubai but the weather was going to be terrible for a few days so instead, we opted to spend a few days in Istanbul first then head to Cappadocia later in the week when the sun was out.

Where We Stayed

We stayed at Sultan Cave Suites for the entire duration of our Cappadocia trip. Rates start at $156/night depending on the dates and room type chosen.  Sultan Cave Suites is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and is the hotel we’ve stayed at for each of our visits to Cappadocia. The hotel has beautiful rooms, including cave suites, fantastic service, a great breakfast, and a restaurant that serves delicious food. What makes Sultan Cave Suites so special though is the unobstructed view from its rooftop terrace.

  • PRO TIP: Contact the hotel via WhatsApp to arrange your shared airport shuttle from the airport direct to the hotel. The shared shuttle was 10 Euros per person per way.

Where We Ate

We ate at Seten Restaurant for the entire duration of our Cappadocia trip. Seten is the restaurant for Sultan Cave Suites and is popular among even non-hotel guests in Cappadocia. Seten has great service and serves delicious food with vegetarian options available. The hotel rate came with free breakfast and we simply chose to have our lunch and dinner there as well each day.

Day 2

We worked with Cappadocia Photo Dream to book our flying dress photoshoot but they were also gracious enough to help us book all of the activities we did during our stay. To work with Cappadocia Photo Dream simply message them on Instagram to get started.

Flying Dress Photoshoot

Our flying dress photoshoot cost us 250 Euros and included the dress rental, round-trip transportation, three (3) locations, all raw photos, and 15 edited photos.

We woke up very early for our flying dress photoshoot. The Cappadocia Photo Dream team came the night before to let me try on the various dress options and keep the one I liked. They then returned around 5 am to pick us up to head to our first location. Our photoshoot locations included:

ATV Tour

After the photoshoot, we went back to Sulatan Cave Suites for breakfast and to relax. The Cappadocia team arranged for us to do a sunset quadbike ATV tour later in the day. The price of the tour was 25 Euros a person (paid directly to the tour company) and included round-trip transportation. Our sunset ATV tour took about 2.5-3 hours from start to finish and included stops at

Day 3

For our last day in Cappadocia, we worked with the Cappadocia Photo Dream to arrange camel riding and paragliding tours. We opted to do these tours as well as the ATV tour the previous day because they worked out to be the same price as the hot air balloon tours. These hot air balloon tours are very popular but we felt that being able to do three activities for the price of one worked better for us.

PRO TIP: Your hotel can help you arrange a hot air balloon tour if you don’t want to book online. Communicate in advance because these tours fill up quickly. The prices are determined by the size of the balloon cart (number of people inside) and the season.

Camel Riding

We had breakfast and then got picked up for our camel ride around 9:40 am. The price of the tour was 25 Euros a person (paid directly to the tour company) and included round-trip transportation. Our morning camel riding tour took about 1.5-2 hours from start to finish.

Paragliding

After our camel ride, we came back to Sultan Cave Suites for lunch before being picked back up at 3:30 PM for our paragliding tour. The price of the tour was 100 Euros a person (paid directly to the tour company) and included round-trip transportation. Our paragliding tour took about 2-2.5 hours from start to finish.
