Our 3-Night Paris Itinerary

Our 3-night Paris itinerary, complete with prices, activities, and more.

PARIS ITINERARY

Having studied abroad in Paris and visited multiple times this Paris itinerary will be different than the suggested itinerary for a first-time visitor. Reference this itinerary for items to incorporate into your trip and check out our other blog posts for more information and suggestions for your Paris visit.

You can travel from the airport to the city by metro (RER B) or car (Uber or Taxi). We chose to take a taxi to our AirBnB because of the convenience of the airport taxi stand and the regulated set rate for taxis into the city. With Uber, you run the risk of surcharge fees.

We started our time in Paris with a morning photoshoot and lunch at the 3 Michelin-star restaurant, Guy Savoy.

Where We Stayed

First, we stayed at a Paris Airbnb near the Louvre for our first two nights. We paid $558.91/night with taxes included. This beautiful newly designed Airbnb with modern finishes is conveniently located next to Louvre and Palais Royal. There is also direct access to metro line 1–one of the two nicest metro lines in the city–within a three-minute walk from the apartment.

PRO TIP: The Airbnb has a two-night minimum and requires you to retrieve and drop off the key to the Airbnb at a different location (3 minutes away). If you are arriving past 9 PM, the keys must be retrieved at the office of the company that handles the Airbnb, so be sure to chat with the host about your arrival before booking the Airbnb.

On our last night, we stayed at Pullman Paris Eiffel Tower. We paid $843.60/night with taxes included for a Superior King Room – Eiffel Tower View. This room type has a balcony with an incredible view of the Eiffel Tower while the hotel is located less than two minutes from the iconic structure.

PRO TIP: Unlike most hotels, Pullman Eiffel charges a different price for one versus two guests (we found this out during check-in and had to pay the difference). We found that the rate for the hotel is cheaper if you book directly with Pullman instead of using an OTA such as booking.com (the booking defaults to one guest so be sure to double-check this).  Lastly, Pullman is an expensive stay and it’s important to note that the rooms are not special and what you are really paying a premium for is the view.

Other hotels we ate at on this trip/past trips or would recommend include:

  • Mercure Alesia [Beautiful affordable hotel in a great neighborhood with direct metro access right outside]
  • Hôtel Elysia [Luxury boutique hotel]

Where We Ate

We ate at Guy Savoy, the eponymous restaurant named after Chef Guy Savoy, who has been named by La Liste as the best chef in the world for the last six (6) years. For our full review and gallery of photos check out our Restaurant Guy Savoy – Monnaie de Paris review.

We didn’t have time for the 13+ chef’s course which starts at € 630/person so we went a la carte for our meal. The restaurant is pricey but if you are looking for a unique fine dining experience be sure to make a reservation at Guy Savoy or alternatively Sur Mesure par Thierry Marx or Yannick Alléno.

Alternatively, another more affordable unique dining experience we’ve done multiple times on previous visits is eating inside the Eiffel Tower. Dining at the Eiffel comes with the added benefit of being able to skip the line (these lines get very long) to enter and the ability to leisurely explore the Tower after your meal.

Other restaurants we ate at on this trip/past trips or would recommend include:

Photoshoots

We worked with Elena Paris Photo to book two one-hour (1hr) photoshoots in various locations in the city over two days. She did a fantastic job on our photos and is wonderful to work with. To work with Elena simply message her on Instagram to get started.

Photoshoot Locations

Our Paris photoshoot cost us € 250 and included an hour of shooting, 2-3 locations, and 60-70 edited photos.

Makeup Artists

Both of these incredible makeup artists are extremely talented and consummate professionals. We connected on Instagram and scheduled very early makeup sessions each morning of our photoshoot. To work with them send them a DM on Instagram.
